Industrial MRO and B2B wholesale

Search for MRO and wholesale catalogs

Bearings, seals, hydraulics, motors and spares, often from several makers. Your buyers search with the number on the old part or a size from a drawing. Tolra matches both.

What shoppers type, and what goes wrong

Maker numbers written many ways

Problem

The catalog says 6206.ZZC.3. The buyer types 6206ZZC3 or 6206 zz c3 and gets nothing, or a page of every 6206.

With Tolra

Dashes, dots and spaces are ignored when matching SKUs and maker numbers. The exact part comes first and is marked as a part number match.

Try it: 6206ZZC3 →

Sizes instead of names

Problem

A maintenance tech knows the bearing is 20 x 47 x 14. They type bearing 20x47x14 or 20 x 47 x 14, not the series number.

With Tolra

Sizes are read as one measurement, however they are written. A size with the unit left out still matches, and o-ring 20mm finds 20 x 3 mm rings.

Try it: bearing 20x47x14 →

The same part from several makers

Problem

A buyer has another maker's number, or an old one. Your product page shows your own SKU.

With Tolra

Upload other part numbers as a CSV (Growth plan and up): your SKU and the other number. Results show the match as "Matches X" or "Replaces X".

One product, many variants

Problem

A seal kit comes in 30 sizes as variants. The buyer searches one variant's SKU and lands on the first size.

With Tolra

When a search matches a variant SKU, the result shows that variant's image, price, stock and link.

Filters that fit the category

Problem

Bearings need bore and seal type, hydraulic fittings need thread, motors need power. A fixed filter list fits none of them.

With Tolra

Filters are picked from the products that matched the search. On Growth and Pro, AI can suggest values like size, thread or seal type from your product text, and you approve them.

Reordering a list of parts

Problem

A plant buyer reorders the same 20 lines every month and adds them one search at a time.

With Tolra

Quick order (Pro plan): the buyer pastes lines of part number and quantity, checks the matches and adds everything to the cart.

What it looks like

How Tolra Search looks in a store and in your Shopify admin. Products and numbers are examples.

Filter by spec, like a parts distributor

Filters come from the products that matched. Sizes become min–max ranges in the unit your catalog uses; the rest are checkboxes. The list view shows specs in columns you can sort.

How Tolra reads an MRO catalog

Most MRO catalogs grew over years. Titles mix series numbers, sizes and grades, the maker’s number sits in a metafield or the description, and nobody has time to rewrite 20,000 products.

Tolra works with that. When your products are copied in, each one gets:

  • Its part numbers in one normalized form. 6207-2RS, 6207 2RS and 62072RS are the same code. SKUs, variant SKUs, maker numbers and OEM numbers all count.
  • Its sizes as measurements. 35x72x17 mm is stored as one size, and also as each part of it, so a search for 35x72x17 or bearing 72mm can find it.
  • The words of the title, type, vendor and tags, with typo tolerance and the synonyms you add.

At search time the query is read the same way. An exact part number match always ranks first. Everything else is ranked by how well it matches.

Setting it up

  1. Install Tolra and let it copy your products. A full sync runs in the background; new and changed products follow automatically.
  2. Turn on the search box in your theme (an app embed, no theme code) and add the results page block.
  3. Search your own top sellers by number and by size. If a code does not match, add it as another part number (Growth plan and up) or a synonym.
  4. On AI plans (Growth and up), review the suggested filter values in batches. Only approved values become filters.

What it does not do

Tolra does not invent data. If a size or a compatible model is not written anywhere in the product, it cannot be searched. The search report shows which searches found nothing, so you can see what is missing.

Questions

Do I need to clean up my catalog before installing?

No. Tolra reads your titles, SKUs, vendors, tags and metafields as they are. Part numbers and sizes in titles are found without extra fields. AI suggestions (Growth plan and up) can add structure later, and you approve each value.

Can buyers search with our SKU and the maker's number?

Yes. SKUs, maker numbers (MPN), OEM numbers and other part numbers you upload (Growth plan and up) all lead to the same product, with or without dashes and spaces.

Will a standard like DIN 933 match every bolt?

On paid plans, search keeps working: Tolra never switches search off because a limit was reached, and you see a notice in the admin with the plan that fits. On Free, a store over the limit gets 14 days with all products, then its own search takes over until it upgrades.

What happens when we pass the product limit of our plan?

Search keeps working. Tolra never switches search off because a limit was reached. You see a notice in the admin with the plan that fits.
